The Steyr Mannlicher Classic line, made in Austria, is the modern descendent of the famous Mannlicher-Schoenauer rifles and carbines of the 20th Century, legendary "gentleman's rifles" that are a very hard act to follow. Yet Steyr Mannlicher does not shy away from the latest technology. Thus the new Classic Mannlicher line is a mixture of old and new, traditional and high-tech

The Mannlicher Classic line includes the Half Stock Rifle (this is the standard rifle), Magnum Half Stock Rifle (similar, but chambered for magnum cartridges), Mountain Rifle, and Full Stock Carbine. Here are the basic specifications for the Classic Mannlicher rifles:

We reviewed a Mannlicher Classic Full Stock Carbine for Guns and Shooting Online and found it to be a very high quality rifle with an exceptionally smooth action and several worthwhile design features. To very briefly summarize that review, the Classic Mannlicher Carbine passed the shooting test with flying colors, recording the best groups ever fired with iron sights during a Guns and Shooting Online review. There were no malfunctions of any kind. These are well made, high quality hunting rifles.
