The question, "What handguns do the members of the Guns and Shooting Online staff actually
use for personal protection" occasionally arises. In fact, all of us own
more than one pistol that we could potentially use for personal protection in
the field (against two and four legged predators), home defense and carry. So
the handguns listed below are perhaps the first choices, but not the exclusive
choices, of most of our writers and editors. On the other hand, some
individuals prefer to use the same model of gun for everything. That said, here
