The Concept of Femininity

If the concept of masculinity in America has been denigrated, then the concept of femininity has been decimated.

It takes a lot to get under my skin. Sadly, I would have to say that I have become fairly jaded and thick-skinned. But I saw a clip from a music video that made my cry. The entire clip focused on the woman's body parts and never once showed her face. The message? She has no face . . . no intrinsic worth apart from her sexual appeal.

In a convoluted attempt to rectify the situation, our culture has tried to make women masculine or sexually ambivalent; both in an attempt to make men and women "equal" whatever that means.

The Lord created woman to be in harmony with the man He created. He didn't create the woman as a 'stand alone' creature any more than He created man that way.

Let's agree to let the Bible speak for itself. We get into trouble when we adulterate the Word with an admixture of political correctness and social engineering.

Our salvation rests in approaching our Creator on His terms, not ours. If something goes wrong, we can 'tinker with it.' We can 'guess' at how to fix it. Or we can humble ourselves and go back to the owner's manual, and see what it was made to do.

The highest dignity to which any of us can attain is to become what the Father created us to be, and to function in a manner consistent with the nature with which we have been endowed. I am confident that the Lord can help us get back to His original design for our lives. It remains for us to submit to the process.

Any takers?
