I've been praying these last few days . . ..

You are probably saying, "I hope the pastor is praying." What I mean is that I have been praying about some specific things. I have been praying for all the soldiers, airmen, sailors, marines, and coastguardsmen who are deployed around the world.

As we get to gather with family and loved ones, they are going to, at best, get a rare hot meal and some Christmas Carols sung to the accompaniment of a cassette tape in some tent or temporary shelter. Even meal times are stressful in Iraq now that the terrorists have taken to infiltrating our bases.

The ones I know aren't complaining and, in fact, they would be embarrassed if anyone even mentioned their sacrifice. And so, I have been praying for them, that the great God of Heaven will reward them with a sense of His presence and His care. Won't you pray for them, too?
